Steve joined Hydro in 1980 as a project engineer and has been a central player in the 25 year history, growth and development of the company.  He transferred to the US in 1988 to oversee the day-to-day management of the Portland based US subsidiary and he became Chief Executive in September 2000. 

Over the last five years, Hydro has reported year on year increased sales and profit growth.  This has been achieved by pursuing a structured business plan that concentrates on Hydro's core products and core markets while pursuing opportunities to enter new geographical territories, develop and launch new products and pursue, where appropriate, business and technology acquisitions.

Managing Director, Hydro International (EU)

Chris is the Managing Director of Hydro International’s European operation and has more than 20 years experience in the civil engineering and water sector.  Chris is a member of the government’s Water Sector Advisory Group which is made up of key industry professionals to advise government on an international strategy for the water sector.  He also established the Sustainable Drainage (SUDS) Group within British Water to act as a voice for the industry within SUDS development.
