HiOx^® Energy Efficient Aeration System

Q. Why use a HiOx^® Ultra Fine Bubble Diffuser Aeration system?

A. The lightweight, individually piped diffusers are easy to install and can significantly reduce the energy costs associated with activated sludge plants.

Q. How can it save me money?

A. The HiOx^® system reduces the energy requirement by increasing the transfer efficiency by 20 - 30%. This is achieved by producing smaller bubbles and high floor coverage giving a low flux rate.

Q. How big are the panels?

A. The standard panels are approximately 1200mm wide by 3600mm long. Bespoke length panels in increments of 300mm are also available. Enquire for further details.

Q. How durable are the membranes?

A. HiOx^® aeration panels have been in successful operation since 1990. Each polyurethane membrane has a product life of up to 12 years. Individual panels can be easily replaced by plant operators.

Q. Can they be used for refurbishment of existing tanks?

A. By changing from fine bubble aeration to a HiOx^® ultra-fine bubble aeration system, an existing works can be upgraded to increase treatment capacity without the need for additional tanks.
